Times Table Star · last updated 1 August 2026

The short version. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Times Table Star has no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Everything your child creates stays on your device and in your own iCloud. The only time information ever leaves the device is if a parent deliberately switches on the optional AI companion, which is explained in full below.

Who we are

Times Table Star is made by Primiland. If you have any question about this policy, email angweeseng@hotmail.com.

What the app stores on your device

To make the game work, the app saves the following locally:

None of this is sent to us. We operate no servers and have no way to see any of it.

iCloud backup

So that progress is not lost if a device is replaced, the app copies the information above into your own private iCloud storage, using Apple's key-value service. This is your iCloud account, not ours, and we cannot access it. If you would rather not use it, you can turn iCloud off for Times Table Star in your device settings.

The optional AI companion

The app includes an optional feature that lets a grown-up pet hold a spoken conversation with your child. It is switched off by default and is protected by a parental gate.

It only works if a parent chooses an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter), creates an account with that provider directly, and enters their own API key into the app. When it is switched on:

Conversations are stored only on the device that they happened on. They are never included in the iCloud backup, so a chat cannot follow your child onto another device. The pet's short memory note does back up with the pet, into your own private iCloud, so the pet still knows your child on a new iPhone or iPad. A parent can view the conversations, erase them, or switch the whole feature off at any time from Settings, AI Brain. The API key is stored only on that device and is deliberately excluded from iCloud backup.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app asks for microphone and speech recognition permission only if the AI companion has been switched on by a parent and your child chooses to speak rather than type. Speech is converted to text by Apple's own service on the device. We never record, store or transmit audio.

Notifications

A parent can switch on a single daily reminder from the pet. It is off unless enabled, it is scheduled locally by your device, and nothing is sent to or from any server to deliver it.

Children's privacy

This app is designed for children and treats their privacy as the default, not an option. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. There is no sign-up, no profile, no messaging with other people, no social features, no adverts and no analytics.

The only feature that sends anything off the device requires a parent to set it up deliberately with their own paid AI account, and can be reviewed and switched off by that parent at any time.

What we never do

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
