Open the Quiz tab and tap Switch player. Choose New player to create a separate profile. Each player keeps their own pets, stars, streaks and level progress. Best scores are shared, so the family can compete on one board.
Eggs hatch after you finish your first quiz. Open the Quiz tab, pick a level and play a full round of ten questions.
Raise your current pet to Genius, which happens at 120 IQ. IQ only comes from playing quizzes. A new egg then appears on the Pet Pals shelf.
Everything is saved on the device and backed up automatically to your own iCloud. On a new device signed into the same Apple Account, progress usually appears by itself. If it does not, go to Settings, iCloud Backup, Restore from iCloud.
Check the speaker button at the top right of the app is not muted, and that your device volume is up. Game sounds play even when the silent switch is on.
It is an optional feature that lets an older pet chat aloud with your child. It is switched off by default. To use it, a parent goes to Settings, AI Brain, passes the parental gate, and adds their own API key from an AI provider they already use. You can read or erase everything the pet remembers, view recent conversations, and switch the feature off completely at any time from the same screen.
Go to Settings, AI Brain, pass the parental gate, and turn the Daily reminder switch off. It is off unless a parent turns it on.
Each attempt gives three hearts, and a wrong answer or a timeout costs one. If a level is too hard, tap a lower level on the Quiz screen: earlier levels use smaller tables and allow more time per question.
Use Switch player to start a fresh profile. To remove all data entirely, delete the app from your device. Note that iCloud may restore it if you reinstall; email us if you would like help clearing it.
Times Table Star collects no personal data. Everything your child creates stays on your device and in your own iCloud. There are no adverts, no in-app purchases and no tracking.
